No Evil Shall Escape My Sight . . . After Breakfast
I'm home from work today. We had another bout of snow (grumble, grumble), and I was EXTREMELY grateful that I had already scheduled today off when I got up this morning. (Brenda had to work today, though. The snow on the roads wasn't insurmountable, but most of the drivers around here turn into blithering idiots when snow falls, so it took Brenda 90 minutes to make the normal 30-ish minute drive to work this morning.)
I've been using today as a day to re-center myself and get the ol' D Engine up-to-speed. I submitted a copy of my NaNoWriMo novel to Lulu.com last night (Lulu.com is a supporter of NaNoWriMo and if you "won," they're providing one free copy of your novel - it was a lot of fun designing the cover, and I'm eagerly looking forward to how the finished book will look!), which has finally cleared the mental deck for me to move on to my next piece of writing. As soon as I post this, I'll start throwing down the words to my next novel. And then maybe tackle some laundry.
But before doing all that, I wasted a bit of time surfing the 'net, which typically involves following up on email, checking in on other blogs that I follow, catching up on the latest in comics or horror movie news, that sort of thing. Somehow, I ended up at eBay this afternoon, searching for Green Lantern memorabilia.
And I found this listing. Apparently, there was/is a chain of Green Lantern Restaurants out there; I had no idea. They certainly don't have any affiliation with DC Comics in anyway, but still, that's kinda cool. This particular item is from a Green Lantern Restaurant in Tucson, AZ (that I don't think is there any more - I checked).
I was born in Tucson, AZ.
It just made me chuckle.
As you were . . .
